Ideas. We all get them. Some are great and some not so much, how do we discern from what is a great idea and what is just a crazy go nowhere idea that should probably be kept to oneself? If you have the answer, please feel free to leave it in the comment section below. Where do these ideas come from? Who or what plants them? The simple answer is you, the more complicated answer is God. If your idea comes with a vision and it seems impossible to implement but you choose to do it anyway then I am going to lean towards God. That pull where one side of your brain is saying GO GO GO! You can do it and the other is saying THERE IS NO WAY YOU CAN PULL THIS OFF, the GO GO GO is God and you might as well let your guard down because when he has a will for you, he will find the way.
When God stands with you, who can ever stand against you? Well, apparently a lot of people. HAHA!
I am about as organized as a toddler on Christmas morning. I knew two things before starting on this journey. 1. I knew how to run. 2. I knew Hillside needed money for Haiti. Now I know 3 things. 3. God wants me to organize a race. Great.
I have had many bipolar moments while in the planning stages of this race. By that I mean lots of 'ups' and a whole bunch of 'downs'. I go through periods of great hopefulness where I believe deep in my heart that this is going to go off without a hitch and my dream of a big money pot for Haiti will be a reality. Then I get another rejection letter from another sponsor. Then I log onto my Running Room account and see that I still only have 3 registrations. Then I meet someone who is experienced at organizing races and someone else who belongs to Run Nova Scotia, the very group I am trying to contact and I see God is working with me. I am elated and hopefull again.
I have a plan and cannot wait to see it in action. Stick with me, register and you will not be dissapointed.
I began my running journey in March of 2009. I began my journey of faith in September of 2012. Running releases stress from my body while my new found faith releases stress from my mind.
